Topic Title: Check marked paid but applied late

DB in Kansas said "Sent payment in when came in, showed the check cashed the 10th, bill was due the 12th, got $39 late fee saying it didn't get paid til the 13th. This has been happening for years now. We pay extra on it everytime we pay it and we are still losing ground."
