VY told us:

You guys are going at this the wrong way. You should be sending these complaints directly the State Attorney General's office in each state. I began my employment with Household International prior to the HSBC takeover in March 2004. I have worked in collections, core sales operations, and mortgage sales operations. The only group that scares HSBC / Household International (HFC/BFC) are the state regulators. They are still smarting from that lawsuit that was settled with each of the SAGs. You need to know more, email me... I worked for this company from (deleted by editor). All you have do is initiate an audit by each of the regulators...

MJA in New York reported to us:

OK, how do I reach my states attorney general's office ... I live in New York and here is my beef about HSBC & HOUSEHOLD BANK CARD:

I have never, ever, had such a difficult time tying to pay a bill as I have had with this Bank Card!

A) If you pay VIA the phone they want $30.00 . When I use to work for GEICO DIRECT we were happy to have the insured's pay their bill and never, ever, charged an additional fee to take an electronic check!

B) If you should go to the HSBC bank to pay them with CASH they will not accept it.

C) Even if you should try to pay them with one of their own bank checks .... forget about it .... oh, it will eventually post however they will put a hold on your using your card for 2 weeks time. If you don't believe me JUST TRY IT!

D) I forgot the WHITE SLIP that comes with the CREDIT CARD BILL one time and they made me go home and get it (hmm, here I am obviously handicap and they have a great big sign on there FRONT DOOR about how they like to help the handicap - YEAH RIGHT!) I even tried to reason with them ... "What if there had been a fire in my home and now there is NO WHITE SLIP and I doubt I can find the CHARD REMAINS" ... LIKE I SAID ... forget about it!
